Schedule & Itinerary Details

What is the family reunion schedule?

The 2025 Pruitt Family Reunion will be held over Father's Day weekend: Thursday, June 12 through Sunday, June 15.

We will have the hospitality suite at the Holiday Inn available starting at 4:00pm on Thursday evening for check-in, registration, light refreshments, and visiting. Our first group activities will begin on Friday, June 13 with breakout activities, the memorial of Robert Pruitt, an afternoon of games in the park, and our group dinner. Our final organized activity of the reunion is our morning Father's Day gathering at 8:00am on Sunday, June 15.

We know that many guests are travelling a great distance to attend the reunion and may not be able to make it to all of the gatherings. We happily welcome you to any/all that make sense for you and your schedule.

What is the exact schedule for the reunion activities?

You can find the complete itinerary for the reunion here.

Alternatively, you can check out the itinerary in the family reunion booklets available when checking in at the reunion.

I would like to attend the burial and memorial of Robert Pruitt. What do I need to know?

The burial and memorial of Robert Pruitt will be held from 12:00pm to 3:00pm in South Mound, KS. We will share the address with you in the family reunion booklet. Refreshments will follow in the community center.

When and where will the family reunion business meeting be held?

The business meeting will be held at the Carnegie Arts Center at 4:00pm on Saturday, June 14, directly preceding the Saturday evening group dinner to be held at the same location.

Who can attend the family reunion business meeting?

We ask that each branch to choose 2-3 representatives to attend the meeting on behalf of the branch. Of these representatives, we strongly (and/or desperately) encourage at least one person to be someone who is able and willing to host the upcoming 2028 family reunion. The focus of the meeting will be on passing the torch to the next hosting family.

All are welcome to attend, even if you are not the designated representative for your branch.

I have a life event (family member death, birth, engagement, marriage, graduation, etc.) that I would like to be recognized at the family memorial and celebration at Oak Grove School. What should I do?

Please call or text Thomas Pruitt at (775) 770-0135 or email him at thomaspruitt80@gmail.com. Please include any details that you would like to be shared with the family (e.g., date of birth, death, or wedding; degree or school of graduation, etc.). We will add these details to the slideshow we will use at our gathering at Oak Grove School on Saturday, June 14. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Yes, the raffle will be held at our final group dinner on Saturday evening at the Carnegie Arts Center. All proceeds go to the 2028 reunion fund.

When and where can I purchase raffle tickets? How much do they cost?

Raffle tickets will be available to purchase at the hospitality suite on Thursday evening, and at the group dinners on Friday and Saturday evenings. Raffle tickets are $1/ticket, or go big with 12 for $10 or with a roll the length of your wingspan for $25.

We gratefully welcome raffle donations--your donations make for a successful raffle that will help fund next year's reunion. Family heirlooms you would like to share with other family members, items you have won at previous reunion raffles you would like to reshare, homemade goods and crafts, and more make for great raffle prizes.

Please bring any items that you would like to donate to the hospitality suite on Thursday evening or the group dinners on Friday and Saturday evenings. We will display each item with an info sheet with details at our raffle on Saturday evening.

Upcoming Reunion in 2028

When and where will the next family reunion be held?

The next family reunion will be held over Father's Day weekend in 2028. Following the vote at the 2019 family reunion business meeting, the next reunion will be held at a location of the new host family's choosing. This location is still undetermined until a new branch volunteers to host the 2028 reunion and selects a location.

I am interested in hosting the next family reunion. What should I do?

Woohoo! Please attend the family reunion business meeting on Saturday afternoon. We will discuss the upcoming 2028 family reunion and choose new hosts.

Following the vote at the 2019 family reunion business meeting, the hosts of the 2028 reunion will choose the location of the reunion. If you have been interested in hosting but unable to organize the event in Kansas, 2028 could be your year to take the reigns and introduce us to a new place.
